  1. Dear friend

“Nice initiative on your part” although I differ at some of the logics Mr. Solanki has assumed, But otherwise the article is quite informative.

I have been searching all kind of books related to our community since 3 years now & what ever is mentioned here in this article is more or less refer to those studies.

It is hard to accept but it came as pure truth to me that there is not even a single book or journal which describe actual origin or so called glorified past of ours. Mr. Solanki like many other writers from our community kept only the brightest and “feel good” part from what ever little is available in all those books/journals/census.

In this article while corelating our past with other races he pointed towards grooms carrying “barothi ring” for brides and ceremony of touching swords to bride house main door which is known as “toran chatkana”. Without going into the details I just wanted to point out that these rituals are followed by other cast also like Ahirs, Sainis & many dalit castes. My intention here is only to bring to test this mindset of our intellectuals who finds it difficult to desist from comparing our identity with other races like rajputs & shatriyas. They have been doing so for years now and achieved nothing by doing so. Hence it is time that we think with an open mind and create our own identity.

I’ll comment upon the rest of article later………..

  2. Thanks Dear,
I am very much agree with you points. Although, We don't have any books which can investigate our origins, people have wrote from here and there.
As far as rituals are concerns as mentioned by Mr. Solanki, it is his views and differ from regions to regions.
And, in no way we are trying to compare ourselves to so called Rajputs and Kshtriya but we are here to revive and strengthen our community. we are here, to discuss the problems and solutions therein. The main purpose of highlighting our background is to just a give sense of self respect(more important as social element).
You are again right here that we should create our own identity. But this is not a easy task first off all. It asks a rigorous efforts on our part to bring together all brothers and sisters of the community. As you are aware that we have different sub community which considers themselves as separate of itself.
The another critical element is education and employment.

Lastly, it would be better if you contribute on the blogs rather commenting on one article. You can write about present status of the community and remedies. Or you can go by your own way.
    Thanks
    Dhanuk

  6. @ Dr Deepak Kumar,
Thanks Dear...and we appreciate your concerns to unite our community...the basic thing is education and for this, we have to initiate a process...to encourage our brothers and sister to take education seriously....if possible we have to help them financially (if capable), through counselling etc. If we convince even one of them, it will be indeed, a good initiative.....ekla chalo re.....
